About Us
Intellectual Gain is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers free tutoring and financial literacy education to students in grades 4–8 across New York. Our mission is simple: every child deserves access to quality academic support and practical money skills, regardless of what their family can afford.
This website is built for the families and students we serve. It introduces the people behind the organization — the founding team, directors, and staff — so parents and students can learn exactly who is dedicating their time to help them succeed. Each team member has their own page with a description of their role and background, making it easy to find, contact, and get to know the people running the programs.
Intellectual Gain is run entirely by a team of dedicated high school students from Brooklyn who genuinely care about making a difference in their community. The founding members — Jonathan Rachamim (Administrative Director), Brian Kushner (Executive Director), Daniel Barbakov (Financial Director), and Eli Jakubowitz — lead the organization, supported by Ethan Zheleznyak (Graphic Design Director) and Maya Rachamim (Social Media Manager). Together, they bring rigorous academic experience, leadership, and a heartfelt commitment to giving back to the next generation of learners.
